It seems Courtney Love has some explaining to do!
The troubled Hole singer – who recently made headlines when she accussed Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl of “hitting on” her 19-year-old daughter Frances in a series of nonsensical tweets – took to Twitter to apologize to her estranged daughter.
“Bean, sorry I believed the gossip,” Courtney tweeted early Saturday. “Mommy loves you.”
Frances – who is the daughter of Courtney and late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain – quickly squashed her mother’s allegations last week Thursday in an angry retort on her Twitter account.
While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy.”
Dave also chimed in, issuing a public statment claiming that Courtney’s accusations were “offensive and absolutely untrue.”
Frances is currently engaged to Isaiah Silva, frontman of the rock band the Rambles.
