Now that he’s a dad of two, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 star James Van Der Beek has some important parenting advice to share.
“Sleep when they sleep,” James – who welcomed son Joshua to the family last month – tells Hollyscoop at the Trident Liberate Fun Tax Day Event. “That’s always a good one, if you can.”
“Make sure you pay attention to the older one,” he continues, making reference to his 18-month-old daughter Olivia. “Because the little one is pretty much fine as long as you have someone holding him.”
Although his son’s arrival was definitely amazing, the 35-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum does admit that being a father to two children under 2 years old can be a challenge at times.
“Having two kids under 2 screaming simultaneously is almost like being at Coachella… except when I get spit-up on here, it smells better,” he tweeted on Sunday.
James and his wife Kimberly Brook wed in August of 2010 in a small ceremony at the Kabbalah Center near Dizengoff Plaza in Tel Aviv, Israel.
