Expecting Disney actress Tiffany Thornton was photographed as she performed live at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, Calif. on Sunday (April 22). She was also spotted leaving the event with her husband Christopher Carney.
The 26-year-old So Random! star – who is expecting her first child later this summer – looked great donning a matching sweater and shirt set accessorized with some chunky arm jewelry and a necklace as she sang to the audience and patted her growing baby bump.
Tiffany put on the event at the Roxy Theater in hopes of raising awareness about Meningitis.
At the young age of 19, Tiffany was diagnosed with Meningitis and spent 10 days in the hospital fighting for her life. Over the past year, Tiffany has become the spokesperson for Voices of Meningitis, raising awareness and helping with the availability of a vaccine.
“Meningitis is a communicable disease so it is transferred via sharing a drinking glass, kissing, being in close quarters, etc.,” Tiffany reveals in an exclusive interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop. “It has a sudden on-set much like the flu and can take a life within 24 hours. The symptoms consist of headache, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, severe neck pain and rash.”
It was a terrifying experience for me,” she continues. “It is important to me that I encourage people to ask questions and have that open dialogue with their pediatrician or school nurse. You can go to VoicesOfMeningitis.org or the Facebook page Raise Your Voice Against Meningitis.”
