Beyoncé Named Most Beautiful Woman: ‘Motherhood Makes Me Feel Beautiful’

She's a 16-time Grammy winner, and beauty and style icon. But Beyoncé is proudest of her most recent title: mommy to daughter Blue Ivy.

I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," says PEOPLE's 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."

I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” says PEOPLE‘s 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

The singer/actress, 30, and her husband, R&B superstar Jay-Z, 42, have fallen ‘Crazy in Love’ with baby Blue, born January 7. “She’s just the cutest thing,” gushes Beyoncé, who also claims to “love” changing diapers.

Does baby Blue resemble mom or dad the most?

“She looks like Blue,” says Beyoncé, who has already returned to her pre-pregnancy weight and is busy gearing up for her first post-baby concerts, Memorial Day weekend at the Revel Atlantic City. “She’s her own person.”

The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” she adds. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

Pinpointing the most beautiful anything is always subjective. You will never find that the majority of people agrees with People Magazine’s choice… ever.
