Actor Hugh Grant admits that when it comes to kids he never really saw what all the fuss was about... until he had one of his own.

“Everyone was right all these years, saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life.’ And you’re thinking, ‘Oh, shut up.’” Hugh, who has 6-month-old daughter Tabitha, tells Ellen DeGeneres.

“Now that I have [a child], it is life changing,” he says. “I recommend it. Get some!”

Despite Hugh’s recommendation, Ellen said that she and Portia de Rossi aren’t headed for parenthood.

“People really want Portia and I to have kids and I think for some people it’s better to just not have kids. I like my time, I like being able to have a conversation without being interrupted and stuff like that…. But we have a little niece and that’s fun, so I understand the cuteness factor. They’re precious.”
