Sandra Bullock & Louis: School Day Dash

Sandra Bullock & Louis: School Day Dash

Sandra Bullock and her adorable son Louis, 2, were spotted – both wearing hats – in Studio City, Calif. on Thursday (May 3).

The actress and her son were engaging in that ritual common to parents of kids of all ages: the after-school dash. That’s the period in-between picking up your kid at school, and hurrying to the next activity. There’s usually lots of goldfish crackers, juice boxes and singing involved. Oh, and sometimes crying.

In a couple of weeks Sandra will be the recipient of an important honor – the Blind Side actress will be admitted into the 2012 Warren Easton Hall of Fame, in recognition of her charitable donations to Warren Easton Charter High School. The New Orleans school was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

This isn’t just a one-time occurrence – Sandra has a history of philanthropy. Last year she donated $1 million on behalf of her family to the American Red Cross’ Japan earthquake and tsunami relief effort and before that she also gave $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to assist with helping Haiti following an earthquake in 2010.

Excuse me? Why is she constantly taking a 2 year old to school? Why can’t he just play at home and not be rushed day in and out? I mean, he’ll have that all his life. Let him just be a baby at home in his pjs for a few years for heavens sake.

Excuse me? Why is any of your business?

Does it ever occur to you that there are good reasons to send a child to preschool? Playing and socializing with other children is a very good thing for a child. Why would it be better to be home by himself?
