New mom Beyoncé is set to make her post-baby debut performance this weekend — and the pop diva, 30, says she’s “a little nervous” to hit the stage.
“I’m back to work,” the Bootylicious singer says in a video showing the process leading up to her return to the stage Memorial Day weekend at Revel resort in Atlantic City, N.J. “I’m back to business.”
Since welcoming her first child, daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z in January, the proud new mom says she has mixed emotions about returning to the stage.
It is exciting, [but] I feel a little nervous,” she admits. “I enjoy being a mother. [Performing] is like going back to my old job. It’s a little strange.”
The multi-Grammy-winner admits it’s important, though, to have a life outside of family.
“It’s important that … you have your own passion,” she says. “What I’m trying to say at this show is ‘Yeah, I just had a baby, but it just made me more grounded and more like you.’ “
