The Golden Globe-winning actress, 51, has recently supported Barack Obama by narrating a new campaign for the US President.
In the advertisement, the openly gay actress applauds Obama for publicly endorsing same-sex marriage in a TV interview earlier this month.
In the narration, Lynch declares,
In 2008, our country elected a leader who not only acknowledged the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community, but who embraced it,” she says. “He counted us as friends. We elected a man who understood our struggles and who has pushed the nation forward towards equality.”
The comedienne, who married her longtime love in 2010, goes onto credit Obama with making “more significant advances for LGBT Americans than any other president who came before him.”View Slideshow »»
