UFC champion Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell and his fiancée Heidi Northcott posed for pictures with their daughter Guinevere, 5 months, at the Round Meadow Elementary Carnival in Calabasas, Calif. on Sunday (June 3).
In a recent interview with UFC Tonight, the former UFC light Heavyweight Champion- who was forced into retirement by UFC President Dana White after losing three consecutive fights by knockout despite his belief that he could continue to fight – discussed his feeling about his early retirement.
“You know, it was a hard decision to make, to retire, but it wasn’t like I couldn’t compete with guys,” he says. “I can’t quite take a punch like I used to and I didn’t wanna change my style.”
” I could start wrestling and try to control guys, but then I still got the chance of getting hit hard,” he continues. “It just wasn’t the way I wanted to fight. I fought so many years, and I wanted to go out fighting the way I like to fight: exciting and fun.”
Chuck is also dad to daughter Trista, 13, and son Cade, 12, from previous relationships.
