Las Vegas star Molly Sims and her husband, film producer Scott Stuber, eagerly await the birth of their first child any day now. The mom-to-be wrote a candid piece on her website MollySims.com, opening up about the last few “dark days,” the “swelling of the feet,” and her struggles with carpal tunnel syndrome.
“I’m in my last week of my last trimester, or as I like to call it… the dark days.” the model-actress writes. “I know that sounds dramatic, but if you’ve ever been pregnant before, you probably know what I mean!”
And the glamorous Sports Illustrated swimsuit model definitely keeps it real!
“First there’s the swelling of the feet,” she says. “They don’t even look like my feet at this point! It’s totally crazy. The only things that I’ve found that help are acupuncture, putting my feet up as much as possible, and drinking barley water, a trick that acupuncturist, herbalist, yoga teacher, and doula extraordinaire Natalie Lewis taught me about!”
“Then there’s the carpal tunnel syndrome,” she continues. “Yes, my right hand is ENTIRELY numb! Literally can’t feel a thing. You can wear a splint, and again, acupuncture might help, but the best thing is making your partner massage you 24/7!!”
It sounds like their baby boy – who will possibly be named Asher, Quinn, or Ford – is getting ready for his big arrival!
“Lastly, I’ve been nesting like crazy!!!” she writes. “The maternal instincts are really kicking in, people! I’ve cleaned my garage, organized my closets, and put the whole pantry in order—all with one hand mind you! I want to clean EVERYTHING in sight, but I just have to remind myself to relax, breathe, eat well (and take 2,000 mg per day of Vitamin C to build a thick amniotic sac and prevent premature birth—another tip from Natalie Lewis)… because in less than a week, we’ll finally get to meet our little guy and I can’t think of anything I’ve ever looked forward to more.”
Best of luck to Molly in the following days. We can’t wait to hear the exciting news!
