Reese Witherspoon Is “Very Excited” About Baby No. 3

An Evening With Reese Witherspoon Hosted By The Gene Siskel Film Center

While we’ve watched her baby bump grow, Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has remained mum on her third pregnancy — until now!

The actress was in Chicago for An Evening With Reese Witherspoon, and to receive the Renaissance Award at the annual summer gala on Saturday (June 23). When a reporter told Reese how great she looked, she said, “Thanks, but frankly I’m feeling very round tonight,” Chicago Sun Times reports.

When it was suggested she likely was avoiding things like Chicago’s famed deep-dish pizza, the Oscar-winner laughed, and said, “Maybe, but it’s not easy. I’m always feeling like I’d like to eat everything in sight!”

While the actress politely refrained to discuss possibly baby names and the baby’s gender,  she did say she’s “very excited” about welcoming a third child, expected in late summer or early fall.

The blonde beauty went on to share a fun memory of the windy city.

“You know, I grew up in Nashville and, for us, coming to Chicago was always a big deal,” Reese said. “It was all about coming to the big city. One of my favorite memories was coming up here with a bunch of my girlfriends in high school to buy our prom dresses. . . . We thought we were really in the big-time then!”

The expectant mama is currently shooting Devil’s Knot in Atlanta with Colin Firth. “It’s about a crime that occurred in 1993,” she said. “It happened in Arkansas, and it’s what I’d say is a very American story.

So what’s up next for the soon-to-be mom-of-three?

“And, after I finish that, I’m going to take a little time off — and go have a baby,” Reese said with a wink.
