Jessica Alba & Honor Make A Pretty Pair

Jessica Alba picks Honor up from school after a quick stop at Barneys New York - Part 2

Jessica Alba picked up her eldest daughter Honor, 4, from school in Santa Monica, Calif. on Friday (June 29). The pretty pair made a quick stop at Barneys New York afterwards. The Sin City actress’ husband Cash Warren and her baby girl Haven weren’t spotted with the duo.

The Honest Company founder and activist continues to work hard to make change happen in our world – especially for the children. She opened up on her Huffington Post blog about the need to invest in our youth.

“Like all parents, I want my girls to grow up in a world where they can pursue their dreams, build the career they imagine and ultimately have more opportunities to succeed than generations past.”   She added, “But with today’s economic climate, I see the challenges young Americans currently face — mounting student loan debt, underemployment and even unemployment. I think about what this could mean for all our children, and I know I want them to have a better, brighter future.”

The 31-year old has started to work with Our Time and ServeNext.org to help the cause.

“By investing now in the training, personal development and productivity of our youth, we’re also helping future generations who would otherwise be burdened by our choices and instead are paving the way for them to truly make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

I checked out the Huffington Post blog Jessica wrote…

So her answer to the economic problems is for the government to give out a MILLION new federal jobs and start a huge bureaucratic agency that will cost hundreds of millions of dollars? Where is this money going to come from? Thin air? Or are Jessica and her celeb friends offering to pay for it?

    She just lost me.
