Jillian Michaels & Her Grocery Girl

Jillian Michaels and daughter Lukensia go grocery shopping in Malibu

The Biggest Loser star Jillian Michaels toted her 2-year-old daughter Lukensia after getting some groceries in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday (June 30). Jillian’s partner Heidi Rhoades and their son Phoenix, 2 months, were not spotted with the mother-daughter duo.

“About three and a half years ago I began dating my partner Heidi,” Jillian shared on her road toward motherhood. “We had a very easy going, comfortable and no-pressure relationship. And a year or so into our relationship, I decided I want to adopt.”

The celebrity trainer went on to say the adoption process was not easy, and after a year and a half of waiting for a referral from Africa, she switched gears.

“I switched all my paperwork over to Haiti and I get a phone call one day,” she shared. “Heidi is now trying to get pregnant for five months now. They say, ‘We have a referral for you,’ which means they’ve matched you with a child. I was like, ‘This is unbelievable, this is great!’ I come home and tell Heidi, and in less than 24 hours she says, ‘By the way, I’m pregnant.’ ”

I don’t know, but each time I see her with this child, this little girl looks so sad. I don’t know if she really is sad or if she is just afraid of the paparazzi taking pictures of them or what. She doesn’t look happy.

    • So cute

It hasn’t been 2 months since Jillian adopted Lu, the poor baby is still figuring out the unfamiliar surroundings and the paps aren’t helping.

I agree. That’s a whole lotta culture shock going on right now for that little girl. Orphanage in Haiti to daughter of famous rich woman in Malibu. Kid’s probably still thinking “WTH just happened?”

  • So cute

Lu is an adorable little girl, she seems to be adjusting well. I have seen pics of Lu happy and smiling.

  • luv first

I remember it being the same way with Mercy and Pax. New place, new faces, and a new languish… and it cant help to have strange people following you with camera. I think in a few months she will come out of her shell. I really glad they found her and she found them.
