Katie Holmes & Suri Grab A Sweet Treat

Katie And Suri Get Some Late Night Ice Cream

Actress Katie Holmes and her 6-year-old daughter Suri made a night time ice cream run in New York City’s East Village yesterday (July 3). Looking sweet in her floral summer dress, Suri held tight to her mom as the pair left the shop and headed home.

While Suri’s dad Tom Cruise spent his 50th birthday in Los Angeles with his kids Isabella and Connor, his soon-to-be ex-wife Katie seemed in good spirits on her evening outing.

“Katie looked happy and was friendly to the customers and staff while Suri sat on her mom’s lap,” says an onlooker.

Last week the former Dawson’s Creek star filed for divorce from her husband of 5 years: “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest,” her attorney said.

I wonder if all the extra media attention lately has Suri spooked. She seems to be holding on to mom extra tight when they’re outside.

I am so happy for Katie. She seems so much happier as if a weight was lifted from her shoulders. She and Suri look so cute in matching colors. I am so proud of her (Katie), for taking control of her life and not letting it be controlled by someone else.

Just echoing what everyone else has said but Katie does look genuinely happy now.

I agree, she looks much happier. Almost relieved in a way.
