Nicole Richie & Family: Fourth Of July Breakfast

*EXCLUSIVE* Nicole and Joel treat their kids to breakfast in Malibu

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden took Harlow, 4, and Sparrow, 2 to breakfast at Coogies Beach Cafe in Malibu, Calif. on Wednesday (July 4). The couple were casual in shorts, jackets and caps for the Fourth of July outing. Nicole’s hat read Obey.

Harlow wore an owl playsuit while her brother had on a blue and red top with jean shorts.

Earlier this year – Nicole talked to Glamour about her weight loss in 2006.

She said, “I feel great about my body. You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I’ve taken huge leaps. I’m proud of that. I work out and I get lots of sleep, so I feel great. And that is most important.”

She also laughed about being called a style icon.

“My world is small. I have my circle of 10 friends, my kids, my family. None of them call me a trendsetter.”

I guess these people are all trying to out-do each other when it comes to their son’s hair. I can see it’s a trend with Hank Jr, Otis, Bronx and Sparrow. They leave their kids hair long, uncut and unkempt. The only one that wears it well is Hank Jr.

Starting to think you’re the same person who is constantly commenting on these boys’ hair. IT DOESN’T MATTER!

I just can’t figure out why having short, cut, tidy hair on a toddler is the end-all and be-all of your existence?

I feel sorry for anyone who looks at these happy, healthy kids and the first thing they think of is a stupid critique about the neatness of their hair.

      Just dumb, sorry.

Elle, we’re starting to think you’re an idiot. Why are you so worried about someone else’s comments? Geez, do YOU know these people? If not, then why worry about it?
