Victoria Beckham: “Being A Mum Is Difficult”

Victoria Beckham Departs LAX

In an interview with British Airways Business LifeVictoria Beckham talks about designing the Range Rover Evoque and raising her children with David Beckham.

On being a mother-of-four: “I work hard. But a lot of people work hard. My husband and my kids are my priority. I schedule my work around my children. Harper comes with me everywhere. The boys came when they were little but they’re at school now. I’m not doing anything different from any other working mum. I have four kids but I get on with my life. Being
a mum is difficult. There’s no rulebook. I’m just doing the best I can for David and for them.”

On designing the Range Rover Evoque: “I did a great deal of research. I wanted something timeless, classical, quite monotone and stealth-like. It was a challenge and I thought it was exciting. I’d never designed a car before. But I’ve driven Range Rovers for years. I love the brand. There’s no other car where you can turn up at a red carpet function one day and then throw a stroller in the back the next. I feel very aligned to Range Rover. It’s inherently British, like me.”

On winning the Designer Brand of the Year at the annual British Fashion Awards last year: “I wouldn’t say it meant more to me than the success I had with the Spice Girls. But I was overwhelmed. I was so proud of myself and my team.”

She is doing a great job! And honestly, I wish I had her life! She is one lucky woman! Pretty, healthy, four beautiful and healthy children, lots of money and a gorgeous, hot husband. Wow! That’s all I have to say :)
