Alicia Keys doesn’t need any parenting advice. Her husband Swizz Beatz says she’s already “ahead of the game.” The DJ and rapper was at the ESPY Awards last Wednesday when he spoke about Keys and their 21-month-old son Egypt Daoud.
He told People, “She’s just a natural mom. She even surprised my mom, who wanted to give her tips but was like, ‘What tips can I give her?! She’s already ahead of the game.’”
The couple – who married in July 2010 – plan to expand their family.
“God willing, yes,” he said. “Everything just has to flow.”
When asked what is the most surprisingly thing about being with the If I Ain’t Got You singer Beatz replied, “That you can really be married to your best friend.”
Keys recently spoke about how motherhood has changed her in a meet and greet video.
“Everything is new. From being married and having a baby, and what that’s done for me. [Motherhood has] just given me a sense of real stability; real connection, grounding, reason, purpose. I’ve realized so much and I’ve learned so much. I’ve become so much more intelligent. I survey the landscape more and try to come up with what’s the best thing for me [and my] family.”
