Cape Fear star Nick Nolte, 71, and daughter Sophie, nearly 5, enjoying the day at the Chili Cook Off, Carnival and Fair in Malibu, Calif. on Sunday (September 2).
While Sophie held onto her plush Hello Kitty toy, she laughed and cheered as her famous father took charge of the steering wheel to their bumper car. By day’s end, the Academy Award-nominated actor left with a large teddy bear holding a heart that read, “I Love You.”
Sophie’s mother is Nick’s longtime partner, Clytie Lane. Nick is also dad to 26-year-old son Brawley with ex-wife, Rebecca Linger.
Watch for Nick to light up the big screen later this year in his latest film, Ganger Squad, costarring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin.

Wow, it is so sad to know that he won’t be around to see his daughter grow up. That’s what happens when you have a child so late in life like so many of these celeb dads. I wonder if they think about the child not having them around as they grow up?
