Willow Smith Sports A Spiky Doo

Willow Smith rocks spiky hair and a Beatles shirt as she leaves her hotel in NYC

Tween star Willow Smith, 11, was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Monday (September 10) donning a head full of spiky hair and a classic Beatles tee. The Whip My Hair singer flashed a smile as she made her way onto the Big Apple streets.

It seems Willow – who made her film debut in 2007 in I Am Legend playing the daughter of Will Smith‘s character – credits her parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith for her showbiz talents.

“It’s what I’ve wanted to do my whole life,” she reveals. “I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from Mommy, the camera stuff from both. That’s just what happens when you hang out with the Smiths.”

Willow’s debut single Whip My Hair was signed up by Grammy-winning rapper Jay-Z, who released the song on his label Roc Nation. It generated 137,000 downloads in the United States during its first week.

FINALLY a child that is being exposed to good music. I love her freedom of expression and her style which is developing. It’s fun experimenting with different styles.
