Jessica Alba & Honor: Donation Day

Jessica Alba takes her daughter Honor Marie for some afternoon charity as they drop off unwanted toys at Baby2Baby in Los Angeles

Jessica Alba and Honor went to Baby2Baby to donate old toys in Los Angeles, Calif. on Tuesday (September 18). Wearing a bold yellow skirt, grey top and white cardigan – the 4-year-old did her duty and helped carry a Bumbo seat into the store.

The day before they were seen with Haven, 1, visiting a friend in Pacific Palisades.

Alba recently said she teaches Honor to recycle.

She shared, “I talk to Honor about not wasting and recycling. I talk to her about having so many things and that there are children out there who don’t have what she has. So when she is done playing with something or outgrows something, it goes to a baby who doesn’t have it.”

Nice to see her instilling good values in her daughter, but it would be even nicer to donate some of the new freebies she receives from companies. It’s no secret that gifting celebs with merchandise is done all the time as a way to drum up business and get free publicity in return.

More like Jessica alba gives away some old plastic crap she doesnt want because it’s making her house look tacky and she wants to replace it with something more chic. Extra bonus that she can show the press how she recycles and cares enough to give poor people her used crap. Win win for Jessie.

Is that her range rover in the background? For someone who professes to be sooo Eco friendly she sure drives a big gas guzzler. Lol. I like range rovers, but alba is such a hyprocrite to be talking about saving the earth while living a lifestyle that is the exact opposite.

So now even donating is to be criticized?

It’s a matter of perspective and context. We’re not talking about a single mom with limited means donating hand-me-downs, used toys, etc.; this is a multi-millionaire who has more than she knows what to do with in terms of free, unused merchandise from companies, retailers, etc. Why not give the new stuff to charity.

Nasty moms…what is the last thing you donated?

At least she is donating sth! It doesn’t matter what she gives away because I think she wants to teach honor the principle of sharing! i.e. that you don’t have to put your old stuff into a garbage can but you rather give it to someone who needs it.
