Christina Applegate: I Still Haven’t Lost The Baby Weight

Actress Christina Applegate gets a surprise visit on the set of "Up All Night" from her daughter Sadie Grace in Los Angeles

Almost two years after the birth of her baby girl Sadie, funny mom Christina Applegate reveals that she’s just now getting out of her maternity jeans.

“I just transitioned out of maternity jeans. I’m working on two years and I haven’t even lost all my weight,” the beautiful Up All Night star said during an appearance on The Talk today, adding, “And those girls that do, they’re spending less time with their kids. I just wanted to hang out with my daughter 24 hours a day.”

She may be back in her blue jeans, but don’t expect Christina, 40, to transition into a bikini any time soon: “I will not be Tweeting photos of me in a bikini, let alone wear a bikini I think ever again in my life,” she said.

As for little Sadie, her mom happily provided an update on her latest milestones.

“She is so remarkable, she is so smart. She’s just talking up a storm, dancing, she loves music and she loves bubbles. She’s just a whole human being and it’s awesome just to watch her.”

So women who get their bodies back are neglecting their children to do it, because, clearly no woman could do a work-out video while the baby sleeps and they certainly couldn’t cut back on the calories a bit. What a bitchy comment. So she doesn’t care if she ever gets back into a bikini; that’s fine, but no reason to be nasty about the women who care enough about their body and their health to make the effort. Wearing maternity jeans for two years is just lazy, it isn’t something to brag about.

I really really wish that people’s weight was a non-issue. Can we just decide to never talk about it again? Some people gain more weight than others, some retain it longer, some just really don’t care. Genetics, will-power, family issues, monetary incentives..who cares? My weight is what it is, it’s nobody else’s business but mine. As is Christina’s and Beyonce’s and Jessica’s and Mariah’s. They were all blessed with beautiful children who they all seem to dote on, which, the more I read about deadbeat parents all over the world, seems to be pretty remarkable to me. Why can we all not just celebrate all the beautiful mothers and their fantastic children and butt out of the lives of people we don’t even know?

You said it perfectly! We should be spending time with the babies & not obsessing so much about how we look thats NOT as important – BTW “Anonymous 9″ sounds like they have a serious chip on their shoulder!!

I SO agree! This woman escaped death from cancer, she probably knows (as we all should realize) there are more important things in life than to have the perfect look. Life’s too short for that! I’m so glad I never cared about it (and I just look normal).

“Can we just decide to never talk about it again?”- umm yeah, that’s realistic.

She looks fantastic, she doesn’t need to explain herself to anyone.

But she also shouldn’t try to put down moms who do lose their baby weight quickly – and she definitely shouldn’t assume it means that they’re spending less time with their kids.

My sister had a huge problem with baby weight too.
She tried everything to lose the baby weight and get rid of acne/scarring but she just couldn’t do it.
I felt so bad for her. I mean I love her and I read online that there are natural solutions to it.
So I took it upon myself and started digging…
I recommend to her several products, but 1 really did the job great! It was called Pregnancy Without Pounds.
Long story short, she shed her baby pounds and didn’t have scars, stretch marks, or anything! She looks so beautiful now.
She loved the product. Anyway, you can find it and the reviews at http://www.reviewsphere.com
