Kristin Cavallari: “I Owe Weight Loss To Breastfeeding”

Kristin Cavallari Hosts ULTA Beauty's 'Donate With a Kiss' Event

Just two months after welcoming her son Camden, new mom Kristin Cavallari showed off her trim post-baby figure at last night’s ULTA Beauty’s Donate With a Kiss event in New York City.

Looking beautiful in a black dress with leather detailing, the 25-year-old reality star said she owes her quick slim-down to breastfeeding.

“I honestly can say I owe it all to breastfeeding,” Kristin told People. “I read somewhere that it’s like running six miles a day. I know nursing is difficult for a lot of moms so it’s easier said than done.”

Though she seems back to her pre-baby shape, Kristin insists she’s got a ways to go yet: “I do want to tone up my stomach a little bit,” she reveals, adding, “Trust me, if you say me I’m not ready for a bikini, let’s just put it that way. I’m close, but I haven’t [lost all the weight].”

I think she owes quick weight loss to breastfeeding AND the fact that she was in shape to start with, watched what she ate, exercised, and didn’t look at pregnancy as an excuse to stuff her face (buttered pop tarts anyone??).

You’re right! Women who keep doing sports, eat healthily and take care of themselves DURING the pregnancy don’t really gain hat much.
My mum when she was expecting me gained just 9 kilos, and she’s a normal person, so I guess for Hollywood people it’s even easier, with all the money and the support they can have..

She also owes weight loss to being 25 years old. There’s a big difference in your metabolism when you are 25 as opposed to 35 or 38. (I am not saying that is the ONLY reason – I am just saying that her age playes a role. It is a factor.)

And I’m tired of hearing women whine about how hard it is to lose weight after pregnancy and whine about how lucky some women are and whine about never being the same. It’s all old and boring. Don’t stuff your face and you won’t be a cow. Easy peasy.

I am not a fan of hers but she was FIT looking when she was pregnant. She did not even look to have gained any weight anywhere but baby weight.

go away Kristen! so over her! shes always out dressed to the max sky high heel pushing a stroller, looking for a photo op! I guess having a baby was the only way she could keep her man and herself relevant for a while!

Well, not always having a baby does keep the man… And why couldn’t it be the opposite? Just because the woman carries the baby doesn’t mean that she is the one who traps the other.. It’s to easy to blame it on the woman (IF THERE IS SOMEBODY TO BLAME).
      Anyway we’ll see.

I think its the fact that Maybe she actually has time to work out. With all that money to have nannies, having a trainer must be easy. My baby is 6 months I’m 22. Have not lost all my baby weight I was 120 now 150. Still 150 also breastfeeding. I don’t have a trainer or nannies to take care of my baby. I like Kristen but us normal woman don’t look like that, that soon after baby. I got a house to clean, dinner to cook for my hubby. Let’s be realistic.

These women in the spotlight don’t always just eat broiled fish and veggies five times a day and breast feed like champs, they are abusing laxatives, diet pills and become bulimics just so the media doesn’t crucify them for retaining their “baby bumps” longer than the six week mandated time slot. The papparazzi needs to stop stalking these moms during their pregnancies and setting the bar too high for them to let their bodies adapt the way they’re going to. Not all of us look like we are 110 lbs with a volleyball lump. Some of us look like Jessica Simpson and should be applauded for giving up smoking or cocktails instead of close ups of them eating french fries without a rolled up pilates mat missing from under their arm. Look at Hilary Duff and how they’ve hounded the crap out of her. Just let her enjoy her new son without every snapshot mentioning her weight, she looks great!
