Alexis Knapp bares her midriff in a new photo shoot and interview for Just Jared. The single mom, 23, opens up about her new film Pitch Perfect and “breaking her back” for 1-year-old daughter Kailani with Ryan Phillippe.
“There is no perfect balance,” she says of juggling her career and motherhood. “As a young, single working mother with a sporadic and intense schedule, you take on each day as they come, and hope to be the best mother you can possibly be.”
And it sounds like Alexis bears the brunt of parenting for baby Kailani.
“I break my back for my daughter, and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she shares.
Adding that she enjoys spending “quality time with [her] closest friends, family and pets,” Alexis also shares her passion for music.
Knapp announced her pregnancy five months after she and Phillippe officially ended their on-and-off relationships.
Though Phillippe – who is dad to children Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon – has not confirmed his paternity, Alexis named the baby Kailani Merizalde Phillippe Knapp.
