Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Gus: Ridin’ The Ocean Waves

Jeffrey Dean Morgan's beach trip with baby son Gus

Jeffrey Dean Morgan splashed in the waves with his son Gus in Miami, Fl. last Sunday (October 21). The Magic City star held onto his 2 1/2-year-old – who wore Spongebob swim shoes.

The actor once admitted working on TV can get “stale”.

He told The Huffington Post, “I just didn’t want to get bored playing a character, and that’s kind of the benefit of doing films; you’ve lived with a character for four or five months and that’s it, and you walk away from that character and you feel like you told a story.

“Sometimes in TV, it can get really stale, especially if you’re doing these 23-episode years. It’s a lot of work, and to put your family through that, on a location, is not always the greatest thing in the world.”

Morgan also has a 7-year-old son named Dean from a previous relationship.

Kid looks nothing like him. I find it tasteless that he has this kids name tattooed on him when he has absolutely nothing to do with his eldest son.

morey. i find it tasteless that you comment at all. he loves his kid. has a tattoo. other kid he never even had the opportunity to take to the ocean when he was 2-3 years old, because he never knew he existed! why cant you appreciate an obviously nice moment between a father and a son without having the need to be a tasteless idiot, with an even more tasteless comment.

Ok, but the point is that NOW he knows about the first kid and yet still only has the second kid’s name tattoo’d. I agree with Moray, that’s weird.

So while it’s rather obvious that this whole thing started as screwing around and a totally unplanned kid shortly after, it seems like somewhere along the way they’ve figured a way to make this family work, and actually fell in love with each other. Just because it started badly doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gonna end this way.

I think Morey and NY raised good points. None is discussing about his relationship with his babymomma or with his kid. Good to see they are happy! It’s just unusual how this man seems to prefer this child to the older one. It’s not Dean’s fault if his father missed the first years of his life.

Well, as a simple reader I have always had the same sense but who can say if not the people close to them? Leo, it seems like you know some details about JDM’s feelings…anything you can share?

reading the blogs on this kid mother and JDM this fling with them was screwed up from the beginning and now there this unplanned kid thrown in the middle, it seem when two people who really didn’t know each other and from two different worlds have something thrown in their lives like a kid, all you can do is hope for the best but I do agree that showing favorite over one kid and ignoring the other dosen’t look good for JDM charactor as a man and as a dad, some advise to JDM the next time you are on the rebound try using a condom
