Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes and her 6-year-old daughter Suri were seen walking home with friends after school in New York City on Friday (November 9). While Katie mingled with the moms, Suri was dressed for winter weather in a puffy jacket and fluffy white earmuffs.
On Tuesday, the pretty pair were seen after class in the Big Apple.
Sounding every bit the typical mom, Katie chatted about keeping things real.
“I still think of myself as Midwestern,” Katie told the New York Times while promoting her upcoming Broadway play, Dead Accounts. “I mean, I’ve had box wine…It’s good. And it’s a lot easier to open.”
And she opened up about her close-knit family.
“I have these moments where what’s going on in my life is unbelievable, and you have to tell everyone to figure out how to respond,” she said. “My siblings and I are always on the phone saying: ‘Oh my God, what do you think? What does Mom think? What does Dad think?’ And then you act accordingly.”

Katie has no one to blame but herself for her being a single parent and not a nuclear family. She knew full well that Cruise was a nutball about Scientology and that she couldn’t change him even though she is Catholic.
