Christina Aguilera says her 4-year-old son Max is the best thing that ever happened to her.
The Voice mentor told OK! magazine, ”The birth of my son is my proudest moment. Max is my greatest song.”
She is taking time off from the show next year to focus on her music career. She added she will miss Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton.
”The coaches are like big brothers and the contestants are so hungry. I am better for it but I need to take a break to do my own thing, to bring so much back to them.”
Two years ago she said in an interview she wants more children in the future.
“I would love that one day, but not right now,” she said. “Eventually, I would like to give Max a brother or a sister.”
Meanwhile she’s gearing up for her seventh album Lotus to hit the stores on November 13.
“As in every record, it’s my heart. It’s a labor of love. It’s not just songs to me; these are blood, sweat and tears and stuff from the heart. You’ll hear on this record that I’ve written songs for the next generation to hopefully inspire new singers of raw talent and realness. … I definitely wanted to have fun and make Lotus about freedom.”
