Elizabeth Banks & Husband Welcome Baby No. 2: Magnus Mitchell

"The Hunger Games" premieres in France

Congratulations to Elizabeth Banks and her husband Max Handelman who welcomed a baby boy via gestational surrogate. The couple have named him Magnus Mitchell Handelman.

The actress announced the news on her official website. She writes: “Nothing can match the joy and excitement my husband and I felt when we recently welcomed our second baby boy, Magnus Mitchell Handelman. Magnus joins older brother Felix, thus commencing a decade or more of close hand to hand combat.”

She continues: “Like Felix, Magnus was born via gestational surrogate. This experience has exceeded all expectations, taught us a great deal about generosity and gratitude, and established a relationship that will last a lifetime. I am also so very thankful to our family and friends for their support throughout this process, as well as the Center for Surrogate Parenting for helping make all this possible.”

The couple have been married since 2003. Felix was born in March 2011.

Felix and Magnus?….I see a lot of teasing and bullying in their futures. Celebrities should be banned from naming their children!!!

Wow, I did not see that coming. Congrats! I don’t like the name, but at least it’s a real one.
