After announcing her split from husband Michael Stone, The Big Bang Theory‘s Mayim Bialik is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two children, PEOPLE reports.
The pair – who were wed for nine years – are parents to sons Miles, 7, and Fred, 4.
Last Wednesday, Bialik, 36, cited “irreconcilable differences” in a divorce statement posted on her Kveller.com parenting blog.
“Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children,” she wrote. “It is not something we have decided lightly.”
The Blossom alum – who penned a book on attachment parenting titled Beyond the Sling – said their “hands-on” parenting is not to blame for the split.
“The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose,” she said
