Marisa Miller Bares Her Baby Bump

Marisa Miller looks every bit the model mama-to-be in a nude photo shoot for Allure. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 33 – due to give birth “any minute” to her first child with husband Griffin Guess – bared her baby bump in the online interview, and opens up about her prenatal fitness regime and feeling “swollen and puffy.”

On posing nude during pregnancy: “I always felt, even before I got pregnant, that it’s better to accentuate your curves. A lot of women try to tuck their butt in or kind of slouch because they’re trying to hide. Obviously, you can’t suck it in, but it’s important to really show off the belly. For some reason, for me, from the side it looks the biggest, so that’s what I tried to do.”

On her prenatal fitness routine: “I’d heard that swimming feels so good when you’re pregnant, and I love being in the ocean. I was even paddle boarding up until 17 weeks, but then my center of gravity and balance were completely off. I looked so funny standing up on the board with all that extra weight in front. I did Pilates five times a week during my second trimester, but it’s so modified now, mostly stretching and breathing. It’s easy to feel swollen and puffy, and moving really helps with the circulation.”

On coloring her hair during pregnancy: “I was taking tons of vitamins, and with the increased blood flow, everything grows faster—my hair, my nails. It was the first time in my life I’d actually cut my nails with a clipper! When I found out I was pregnant, I cut all my hair’s breakage off, thinking, This is the only time I can have a break and do a little hair boot camp. My stylist was worried I was going to cry, but it was for my hair’s health—I didn’t care how it looked. My color grew out naturally and eventually looked sort of ombre. Once I got into my second trimester, I asked my stylist about a few small highlights around the face, just to break up the color a bit. We used organic dye, and to make sure I didn’t inhale anything, we even did it outside.”

On her best advice to pregnant women re. weight gain: “Embrace everything and all the changes. My sister said to me, ‘You’re eating healthy and you’re working out, so whatever your body gains, it knows what it’s doing.’ I had never even owned a scale before, but gaining weight is part of charting your progress. Yes, I was seeing numbers I’d never seen before, but I let go of that because I had a new goal and focus. It’s an adjustment, but it helps having a lot of positive support.”

She looks beyond amazing and I could only dream of looking that good, pregnant or not. However I am so over this whole nude pregnancy shoot. It’s not that I am offended by it, it’s just that it’s such a personal and private time in your life. By doing these type of PUBLIC layouts tends to cheapen the whole experience in my eyes.

it’s not your pregnancy, so why do you care and why would anyone else care what you think it makes someone else’s “experience”??

Why do you care about her comment? It’s not your comment or opinion, so why do you care about why she thinks it makes it someone else’s “experience?” I get annoyed when people say “Why do you care about blah blah blah.” People are allowed to click on an article that they don’t like or whatever and having a different view besides “she looks fantastic.” She does look great, but I agree with Tara. I’m open minded, one hundred percent, but this whole nude pregnancy thing is overdone. With that said, she looks 10x better than me, and I’m not pregnant nor have I ever been. *shrugs*

Thanks Kasey, I said she looked better than I ever could but it’s not the thing I would feel comfortable doing. Seems that on this site there are those who want to be comment nazi’s. Just another sign of bitter unhappy people.

You’re welcome. Some people on here confuse me with their logic. Anyway, I would do it if I ever had a kid, but only for my husband/boyfriend and myself. She looks great but it’s nothing that we’ve not all seen before. Yes, I usually don’t even respond to people (mostly because I feel awkward) let alone respond to someone else’s comment but I felt she was out of line saying that. It’s like if you don’t come here and talk about how great someone looks it’s “she’s never gonna read this why do you care, “why did you click on the article” etc. As if people are not allowed to have differing opinions on the subject.

@kasey I feel the same way. What I don’t understand is what was so bad about @tara saying she personally thinks it cheapens it FOR her. She started it by saying she looked great. Some people on here need to get a life and relax.
I agree with you – I would do it but only for my husband. Doubt he would want it though ;)

Lighten up- do you ever have something positive to say? You are a hag. She can say what she wants. Her comment was way less judgemental than yours. Loser!

@Tara people in the public eye don’t get a private life so get off your high horse. celebs have been doing shoots like this for nearly 25 years it doesn’t cheapen nothing. the magazine asked her to pose like that and she wasn’t gonna refuse

Oh how pathetic. You use the old standby that it’s been done for years, you are such an ignorant fool like most of your stupid post Courtney. Do you ever reference anything from this decade?!!!!!!! And she could have refused. You are one the MOST ANNOYING and ill informed people who comment on this board so STFU and go AWAY.

Have to agree with you- was wondering where the Paul Newman or a Redgrave fit in to her post.

Personally I think the picture is great but it is completely overdone anymore.

Isn’t Marisa a ~Victoria Secret~ model? I mean she’s been wearing little to nothing forever in a day. Why on earth would anyone think she wouldn’t be comfortable in her own skin to capture this speciall time in her life this way? And do we really believe she was trying to stay relevant by taking these photos? Thats just SILLY!!

Yes but she was not doing it pregnant and no one even knows who she is except a few. Anyone who says a pregnant body is beautiful is delusional. Your stomach is stretched, your ass looks huge and very few get that Glow- its more likely oily skin. Without lighting and photoshop we wouldn’t be calling it gorgeous. I am all for celebrating yourself but come on.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, and I think it is rude to judge others compared to their own opinion. This article shows a women who is so comfortable in the way she looks and feels, and if she is happy doing this, there is no problem. When and/or if you are pregnant, you will probably know how she feels, but in the mean time, leave other people alone and do not try to bully or persuade them to change their own opinions….. Thank you

I see somebody is very DELUSIONAL themselves!! Marisa looks 10x better pregnant then a whole lot of women I’ve seen featured not pregnant. Airbrushed, Photoshop etc. etc. the woman has taken beautiful photos. You can disagree all you want and entitled to your closed minded opinion about pregnant women bodies. Really doesn’t matter either way!!!
