Expecting heiress Petra Ecclestone – the daughter of Formula One billionaire Bernie Ecclestone – was snapped in a sultry snake-print dress on the arm of her husband, private investor James Stunt in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday (December 16). Joined by her older sister Tamara, the trio celebrated Petra’s 24th birthday at Giorgio Baldi Italian restaurant in Santa Monica.
In a recent interview in Harper’s Bazaar, Petra – who is now very known in the U.S. as the proud new owner of Aaron and Candy Spelling‘s $85 million, 123-room house which she purchased in June 2011 and had redone in a 3-month time period – professes to being puzzled by the public’s fascination of her and her family.
“I don’t get it ’cause, like, everyone knows we’re really privileged, we’re wealthy,” she says. “There’s so much more to us.”
Instead, Petra claims she would like people to focus on her handbag line called Stark – which features structured clutches and bags in exotic skins and Swarovski crystals.
Her sister Tamara states that she knows the real reason behind Petra’s relocation to the states.
“I feel like one of the reasons Petra moved from London is that the press here is very negative, and there’s a lot of envy,” she claims. “I don’t want to moan about paparazzi because I know you can’t have your cake and eat it too, but we used to feel like we had to justify everything. I do have a nice life, but that’s not all I do. I’m not defending it anymore. I raise millions of pounds for charity, I had a successful reality show that aired all over Europe, and I’m launching a hair-care brand in November.”
Petra and James are reportedly due in March.View Slideshow »»
