Rosie O’Donnell has shared new photos of Dakota via Twitter and Instagram
The baby – adopted on January 5 – is shown sleeping in numerous poses. In an adorable one on January 12 Rosie wrote: “She laughs … no it was not gas”
Dakota is the first child for Michelle Rounds. Rosie and ex-wife Kelli Carpenter raised Parker, 17, Chelsea, 15, Blake, 13, and Vivienne, 10.
Rosie posted a poem on her blog expressing her joy of their new arrival.
She writes: “i have a new baby, she smells delicious, cooing and blinking, welcome to the world, life has on occasion so much joy, babies anchor me, to souls here and gone, 2 connection”
In another excerpt Rosie says, “michelle is glowing, a first time mom, she has fallen in big love, pure grace in motion”

She is so precious! Beautiful photos.
So sad that someone wanted/had to give up this beautiful baby girl…thankfully she has a loving home to go to though.
Not sad…responsible. People don’t give up babies because they don’t want them, but because they understand that someone else may be able to offer the baby a better life.
What a beautiful little girl and so happy she is now a part of a loving family with lots of siblings. Love that first picture!!!
