Gwen Stefani was spotted taking her youngest son Zuma to school on Tuesday (January 15) in Los Angeles, Calif.
The 4-year old wore his spider-man jacket and jeans while the No Doubt vocalist dressed in her long black jacket, hat and Dr. Marten boots.
Being a successful singer and a hands-on mother may be a lot for one person to handle and it’s something that the Don’t Speak singer obsesses over.
“I remember when I was in hospital after giving birth to my first son, Kingston [now six] and someone said, ‘You’re a mom now.’ And part of me thought, ‘Don’t say that!’” she said in an interview. “Although I’d always wanted children, it was such an opposite thing to being a singer. Being a singer is all about me. About ego. Being a mom is all about being selfless – two different worlds.”
And having two children hasn’t eased the guilt that the musician has felt over the years and a few tours later.
“I kept thinking, “How can I leave my two little boys and go off to the studio?” They weren’t sleeping well at the time, and neither was I,” she shared.
“All the time I kept thinking, ‘If this doesn’t happen, you’re letting everyone down: the band, my family, all the people who depend on me.”’
The 43-year old mama is married to Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale.View Slideshow »»
