Hillary Scott Bumps Around Hollywood

Lady Antebellum Leaves Meeting at Sunset Marquis Hotel

Expecting Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott was snapped leaving the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Hollywood, Calif. on Saturday (January 26).

It seems the pop country crooner – who is expecting her first child with her husband, drummer Chris Tyrell in July – has blissfully avoided most of the pregnancy ailments that afflict many expecting women.

“I am so thankful,” the 26-year-old singer tells Broadway’s Electric Barnyard. “I wake up every day and think about the women that have to have ziplocs in their cars, they’re so sick. I thank God every day that I have not had to deal with that. Fatigue has been my toughest obstacle.”

The soon-to-be parents don’t know the gender of their baby, which is leaving them struggling in the name department.

“If it’s a boy, there aren’t very many girl names that could be boy names but if it’s a girl, there’s a bunch of boy names on the list that could technically be girl names,” Hillary admits. “I’m hoping I can at least cut it down somewhat, because there’s a lot of names to choose from and a lot of really cute ones and family names that are important to us. So, it’s a tough decision.”

One thing is for sure – the baby will be getting an early start on a recording career.

It seems Lady Antebellum plans on including the sound of the infant’s heartbeat on one of the tracks on their upcoming album.

“That’s definitely something we’re going to try to capture, and it was Charles‘ [Kelley] idea,” Hillary reveals. “I walked into the studio and we had just had the doctor’s appointment and I was like, ‘Here’s the heartbeat, it’s beating 158, really strong and fast.’ And he goes, ‘We have to do something with that!’ And we have this song on our record that’s really sweet and special to us. It was the last song we wrote for the record, and it could be about a love relationship or it could be truly for a parent to a child, as well, so he was like, ‘That would be such a cool way to start that song.’ It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m hoping.”

There’s no word yet on when the new album will hit shelves.

Its debut single Downtown marks the trio’s highest chart debut of their career.

if I ever get pregnant again I’m going to describe myself as “bumping around” wherever I go. Eg. “I bumped around the grocery store today” and “I took my bump to the movies”!!!
