Katie Holmes & Her Panda Gal

Katie Holmes goes out and about in New York City with her little Panda Suri

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were seen leaving the restaurant Locanda Verde after attending a birthday party in New York City on Sunday (January 27).

Suri wore her panda hat and sipped her drink while braving the cold weather.

Career news for Katie! According to Deadline.com she’s just signed on with ICM Partners – leaving CAA. The move comes after the Broadway closing of Dead Accounts.

As for Suri – the recent report by Star magazine that the 6-year-old is going to follow in the footsteps of Romeo Beckham and model for Burberry Kids is untrue.

A Holmes insider told Gossip Cop the story is “all lies.”

I don’t think it was a party. Where’s the balloons and goody bag? It looks like a get together with friends. Suri always looks so happy hanging around kids her age. Shows she socializes well.

ITA, but it makes for a better story if they add extra details – even if they aren’t true LOL! On a side note, they also do this when the identity of the person with the celeb is not obvious — i.e. they say “so and so was pictured out with a friend/grandma, etc.”

All I will say is since the divorce and escape from Scientology Suri looks happier then ever. We aren’t getting pictures of her throwing a tantrum or walking down the street in winter coat-less. Thankfully Katie seems to be disciplining her instead of letting her get her way as was the rule with Scientology. Way to go Katie…

Not all birthday parties have goody bags and maybe her’s was in Katie’s purse.
