Kelly Macdonald Welcomes Baby No. 2: Theodore William Payne

Gwyneth Paltrow at The The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals in LA

Congratulations to Kelly Macdonald and Travis bassist Dougie Payne. The couple welcomed their second son on December 8. They have named him Theodore William Payne.

The Daily Record reports the Boardwalk Empire star gave birth at 12:15 p.m. at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 36-year-old actress and the rocker exceeded the 21-day legal limit for registering the baby’s birth but no action will be taken.

A spokeswoman for the General Register Office for Scotland said, “You are supposed to register your child within that time but obviously certain circumstances mean that parents can’t get in within the 21 days.

“There are no penalties attached. We basically send out a reminder and that usually gets parents in. Eventually they will be reported to the head office if the reminders are ignored but that tends not to happen.”

Their other son Freddie is 4-years-old. Macdonald once told Red magazine, “We don’t have a nanny and Dougie is completely hands-on; I’m actually a tiny bit jealous of their relationship. Freddie is such a daddy’s boy. Dougie is the most supportive husband, he’s amazing. The best thing I ever did was bump into him.”

Congrats! But now they have Freddie and Teddy?!?! Hm…not sure I like that for a sibset. Though lately, Theodore has been a name I have started to love a lot!

Isn’t it her character’s sons name on boardwalk? Interesting…

  4. Amanda: That’s the first thing that I thought too – Teddy is her son’s name on Boardwalk Empire. She must like the name. And yeah, Freddie and Teddie…could get a big comical
