Beyoncé: “Mrs. Carter Is Who I Am”

Pop superstar Beyoncé gets gorgeous on the May cover of Vogue U.K. The Bootylicious singer opens up about feeling sexy, husband Jay-Z and the joys of being mom to 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

On feeling sexier than ever: “It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, ‘OK, this is what you were born to do. The purpose of my body became completely different. The way I view it and everything. There’s a sensuality and an audacity that I’m O.K. with sharing.”

On being Mrs. Carter: “I feel like Mrs. Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been. I do believe in equality, and that we have a ways to go … But I’m happily married. I love my husband.”

On her physically-demanding concerts: “I’m always bruised somewhere – my legs, my hips. But you’ve already started so you’ve just gotta fight through it.”

she’s starting to bug… yes, she is gorgeous and successful but she’s everywhere as of late and it’s overkill

I agree. I think the problem is, she has nothing new to say and it’s the same talk over and over again.

  • Dana

All I hear when she talks is “me me me.”

Beyonce is beautiful and talented, but I can’t stand to listen to her talk. She sounds like an idiot!
