Busy Philipps: “We’re Having Another Girl”

Pregnant Busy Philipps has her hands full

A sister for Birdie!

Cougar Town star Busy Philipps recently revealed her baby’s gender at Sunday’s Case of You screening during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. “We’ve known for a long time, but I just haven’t had the occasion to tell. We’re having another girl,” Busy told Us Weekly. “We’re really excited.”

The Dawson’s Creek alum, 33, and her screenwriter hubby Marc Silverstein are already parents to 4-year-old Birdie.

“I thought this pregnancy would be like the first one and be easy, but it’s been completely different. I’m even losing my voice because I have acid reflux!” she laughed. “It’s so gross. Your body is just highjacked. It’s gross.”

Luckily, her sweet daughter has been taking it easy on mom.

“She’s incredibly helpful,” Busy said of Birdie. “She really understands when I say things like, ‘Mom can’t carry you right now because the baby in her tummy is pressing down on her bladder.’ She understands what that means and she’s cool with it.”

While Birdie says she’s excited to be a big sister, “We’ll see what happens when the actual baby comes,” said Busy. “I’m planning for that moment when she asks, ‘When does she go back?’”

We can’t wait to hear the baby’s name!

Aw, cute (But what the hell was she was wearing at Tribeca? Bad choice). Can’t wait to hear the name they choose because I love Birdie Leigh.

Birdie is a terrible name for a child, maybe a pet parakeet. Maybe this one will be named Sparrow or Pigeon. Robin would be nice LOL
