Peaches Geldof Welcomes Baby No. 2: Phaedra Cohen

The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premiere

Congratulations to Peaches Geldof and her husband Thomas Cohen who welcomed their second son Phaedra via Caesarean on Wednesday (April 24). The birth date was significant as it was also the 54th birthday of Peach’s late mother – Paula Yates.

Peaches told Hello! magazine: “Tom and I are completely overjoyed to welcome Phaedra into the world.”

Her rep added, “Peaches Geldof and Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce the birth of their son on April 24 2013. Both mother and baby are very healthy and well.”

The model and television presenter chose the name Phaedra — after an album by her favorite group Tangerine Dream.

A source told The Sun - “They are absolutely over the moon about their new arrival. It all went smoothly and Peaches will be in hospital for a while to recuperate. Bob (Geldof) is absolutely over the moon — the whole family are.

“They are particularly pleased about the significance of the date as it makes Peaches feel she is keeping her mum’s memory alive.”

On Thursday (April 25) Peaches posted a photo of Astala, 1,  in his stroller. She wrote: “My handsome boy.”

Her sisters are Fifi Trixibelle, Pixie Geldof and Tiger Lily.

    yikes!

I think if I was given such an outrageous name I would grow up to smack my parents in the face lol. Then again maybe they appreciate the uniqueness!

I don’t think it’s too bad. I think they went for a theme really, unique, but not made up or food. Personally, I wouldn’t name my children like she named hers, but they’re infinitely better than Apple or Pilot Inspektor.
