Sarah Jessica Parker: Mini Fashionistas In The City

Sarah Jessica Parker and her girls are Bright and Colorful

Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Matthew Broderick were spotted with their fashionable 3½-year-old twin daughters - Tabitha (yellow dress) and Loretta – in New York City on Monday (May 6). After dropping off their girls at preschool, the longtime couple picked up a few groceries.

Later that same evening, SJP got glam for the MET Gala in a bold Philip Treacy headpiece, Giles Deacon gown and plaid Christian Louboutin boots.

By all accounts, the twins have inherited mama’s keen flair for fashion.

“They pick out their own clothes every single day,” SJP recently said of her mini fashionistas. “They won’t listen. I just provide the clothing and a lot of those dresses they wear are from my childhood or my niece’s young childhood.”

“We have a routine,” she added. “They pick out their clothes at 3 o’clock when they wake up from their nap. We tell them nothing. We just give them the temperature outside and if they don’t pick enough clothing, then we say, ‘You need leggings or pants. You need to add something so you’ll be warm enough.’ That’s all they would listen to.”

SJP and Matthew are also parents to 9-year-old son James Wilkie.

I don’t like the way she dresses them. Nothing ever seems to match. Just my opinion.

That’s what they have parents for….maybe they should teach them how to match colors. You just don’t let 3 year olds do whatever they want because they want to. SMH.

As long as clothes are appropriate for the weather it seems fine for child to pick out their own clothes and FYI, mismatched clothes are very in right now for kids. Stripes with floral etc…. I think they look clean, cute and are dressed perfect for weird weather in NYC this week. :)

Curious as to why a three year old shouldn’t be allowed to pick out and dress themselves as long as it is weather appropriate. Everything doesn’t need to be matchy matchy. I think the children look perfectly fine in their outfit selections here. They are dressed according to the weather and their is no harm being done. So again…curious as to why they shouldn’t be allowed the choice?

I thnk they are the best dressed celeb kids around. I absolutely love how she dresses them. They always look darling and gloriously happy. I wish I could see pictures of them every day.
