Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie was photographed with son Pax at the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday (June 24). On a departing flight to New York City, the 9-year-old held onto a large purple stuffed animal as he traveled with his famous mama.
Dressed in all black, the Salt actress, 38, walked alongside her sweet son who held onto his purple pal.
On Monday, Angelina urged UN to punish rape in warzones, saying sexual violence is used as a weapon of war.
“Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of women, children and men have been raped in conflicts in our lifetimes,” she told the Security Council.
“The Security Council was established 67 years ago and has witnessed 67 years of wars and conflict, but the world has yet to take up war zone rape as a serious priority,” she added.
The mom-of-six, who has travelled extensively in her UN role, said that she will “never forget the survivors I’ve met or what they told me.”

“I understand that there are many things that are difficult for the UN Security Council to agree on, but sexual violence in conflict should not be one of them,” Angelina said. “That it is a crime to rape young children is not something I imagine anyone in this room would not be able to agree on.”
