During a recent appearance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck opened up about about family life with his wife Jennifer Garner and their three kids: Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 1.
“The family is amazing,” he gushed. “Little girls are the best. I have two girls and a boy. The thing that I’ve learned is that I went around my whole life thinking that I was more or less as smart as women. And then I had kids and I couldn’t have been more wrong.”
“Like my son, he just runs into walls.” He added, “My daughters build things and they can all read. My son just blows up toys.”
Ben went on to describe how some friends of his went to the wax museum in Las Vegas and got some photos with his wax figure.
“My daughter was like, ‘What is this?’ Ben shared. “I said that is actually a wax dummy of me. And she was like, ‘Really? Why would anyone care enough about you to make a wax dummy?'”
Ben and Jimmy went on to talk about the joys of fatherhood and relishing in the beauty of their newborn babies.
“When my kids were babies it was like heaven…and then when you see the old baby pictures, I was telling my wife, ‘Actually she was kind of ugly and funny looking,'” Ben joked.
Ben went on to say he is “so excited” about his upcoming role of Batman in the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel.
“I’m a big boy. If I can handle an Oscar snub, I can handle anything,” he joked about the online backlash of his new role.
“I saw the announcement, I look at the first comment and it’s like, ‘Ben Affleck is going to be Batman’ and the first one goes, ‘Noooooooo!’” he said.
“The people from the studio said, ‘We want to talk to you because people go through this process and it can be a little trying’” Ben shared. “They said, ‘We want to show you some of the reactions that past cast members have got on the internet.’”
