Jennifer Love Hewitt: “I’ve Always Wanted To Be A Mom”

Jennifer Love Hewitt is excited to be a Mom

Looking every bit the radiant mom-to-be, Jennifer Love Hewitt stepped out in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Tuesday (September 24). Sporting a pale blue tunic top and skinny jeans, the expectant Client List actress smiled and waved at the nearby paparazzi after shopping at Bel Bambini.

Due in December, the Party of Five alum says she can’t wait to welcome her first child. “I’ve always wanted to be a mom,” Jennifer recently shared with PEOPLE. “I had a great relationship with mine. I’m ready to pass on to my child all the great love that my mom had for me.”

The actress lost her mother, Patricia, to cancer in June 2012. “Obviously, I got very lucky that even though I lost my mother, I lost her later in life, but it’s still had a profound effect on me,” Jennifer said.

As for her prenatal workout regime, the mom-to-be, 34, has been hitting the gym five or six times a week.

“It’s making me feel good,” she shared. “I’ve been reading all these interesting stats about kids with pregnant moms who work out have all these great benefits, so I’m happy about that.”

She added: “I’ve been under scrutiny for 24 years of my life, so it’s been interesting to see how, when you really embrace what it’s about, it’s okay. You just go with it, and it’s great.”

The actress – who is expecting with Client List costar fiancé Brian Hallisay – went on to say that the pregnancy has been smooth sailing so far.

“I’m loving [being pregnant]! It’s really been a joy,” she added. “I have no complaints. I mean, tired feet and all the stuff you hear about, but nobody needs to hear about that.”
