Matthew Broderick & His Colorful Cuties

Matthew Broderick cracks a smile walking his daughters to school

Tabitha and Loretta walked to school with dad Matthew Broderick in New York City on Thursday morning (October 10). The girls wore colorful dresses and leggings underneath their cardigans.

The actor kept smiling as his adorable cuties made stops along the way.

Sarah Jessica Parker has said her twins dress themselves.

She shared, “They pick out their own clothes every single day. They won’t listen. I just provide the clothing and a lot of those dresses they wear are from my childhood or my niece’s young childhood. We have a routine. They pick out their clothes at 3 o’clock when they wake up from their nap. We tell them nothing. We just give them the temperature outside and if they don’t pick enough clothing, then we say, ‘You need leggings or pants. You need to add something so you’ll be warm enough.’ That’s all they would listen to.”

Surprised he needs a nanny with him to take his own daughters to school!

{Sigh} When will people ever stop criticizing this? Has it occurred to you that the nanny was home with them, and he was going to walk them to school so she came along because two sets of hands are better than one?

Noooooooooooo……. it’s always the “I’m a better parent than they are” mentality. But the reality is that I doubt Matthew Broderick or his wife spend ANY time online judging other parents.

Oh for goodness sake, take a chill pill and GMAFB while you’re at it. I didn’t post the original comment, but I was wondering the same thing myself. She didn’t just “come along” because she “happened to be at home with him”, the nanny always goes on the walks to school. Now, go and do something about your blood pressure.

Don’t waste your time on on. If I was someone with strange ppl photographing my every step while I’m also trying to parent, I’d have a nanny and security with me too. I don’t find anything at all wrong with it and I think it’s tremendously judgmental to think that someone isn’t a good mom and dad because they have help.

I see them on their school walk pretty much everyday. The main reason the nanny is there is because they have three kids that go to school at different times. Matthew/SJP walk their son to school first, but by the time they get back, their daughters should have already left home if they want to make it to school on time. So the nanny takes the daughters out, and Matthew/SJP meet up with them on their way back. (Maybe SJP can make it back in time, but Matthew can’t, he walks quite slow.)

Maybe it’s also worth noting that Matthew recently had shoulder surgery last month and isn’t exactly fit to do much besides hold their hands and walk. If one of his girls wants to be carried, he’s not allowed to.

Sounds logical, except for the part about their son. Isn’t he 10? Don’t 10 year olds know how to get to school by themselves? My memory isn’t the best these days, but at that age, needing mummy and daddy to take me to school was a distant memory.

You’d let your 10-year old walk to school by themselves……. in New York City???

If you came out of your mother’s basement long enough to take a look around, you would notice that NYC – in broad daylight – is probably SAFER than small town USA. There’d be plenty of witnesses if anything happens..

Sure, but you have to understand…these NYC paparazzi are ridiculous. They don’t care if Matthew and/or SJP aren’t there. They will take pictures of the Broderick kids as if they are celebrities themselves. They WILL invade the children’s privacy. I see it happen all the time and it makes me so mad. If that happened to my kid, I wouldn’t want them walking alone, especially at age 10.
