Jennifer Garner: Errands With Her Girls

Jennifer Garner and Violet are Totally in Sync

Jennifer Garner spent time with her girls Violet, 7, and Seraphina, 4, separately in Brentwood, Calif. on Tuesday (October 15). In the morning the actress and Seraphina headed for breakfast at the Brentwood Country Mart. Later on in the day she and Violet went to a doctor’s appointment after school.

While promoting her new movie Dallas Buyers Club recently – she told People that she’s not vain and didn’t mind going makeup free for her role.

She said, “I am not someone who is driven by vanity. Even in ways that I should be. I’m not very good at the whole vanity thing. But I did love that [director] Jean-Marc Vallée came to me and said, ‘I don’t want you to look pretty.’ He almost didn’t give me the job because he just assumed . . . and I said, ‘I don’t care. Never touch my face with makeup. I don’t care.’ And he didn’t. I never sat in the makeup chair.”

Referring to her wardrobe she added, “The clothes were from Goodwill. It’s not like they were from a fancy vintage store or made to look vintage. They were straight up Goodwill, and I had this little baby. So, when I was in costume fittings, it was about, like, ‘How can I get to my boobs?’ And so I just could have cared less. It was great for me.”

Jennifer Garner has ZERO fashion sense.

Who cares if her dress sense doesn’t align with what you consider to be fashionable? She and her family always appear happy and healthy and in love with one another- isn’t that more important than how trendy their clothes are?

Her daughter always looks so nerdy and dorky.

I remember JG’s interviews for ALIAS on dvd when she said she was a mega dork as a kid. Played the saxophone, wore geeky glasses and dressed like a nerd until one popular friend plucked her from the nerd circle and took her under her wing in high school.

Violet will probably grow up to be very brainy and successful in a field outside of Hollywood. Good for her. I bet we’ll never hear stories of drug addiction or displays of sluttiness coming from this girl in 10 years.. unlike a lot of the Hollywood offspring these days.
