In a pregnant photo shoot, Kate Winslet covers the November issue of Vogue and opens up about co-parenting her children – daughter Mia, 13, and son Joe, 9 – with first and second husbands Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes.

On co-parenting: “[The children have] always been with me. They don’t go from pillar to post; they’re not flown here and there with nannies. That’s never happened. My kids don’t go back and forth; none of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads – my children live with me; that is it. That is it!”

On how her kids are doing after the divorces: “People go, ‘Oh, my God! Those poor children! They must have gone through so much.’ Says who?”

Due at the end of this year, the Academy Award-winning actress, 38, is expecting her third child – her first with husband of nearly one year, Ned Rocknroll.

The November issue of Vogue hits stands Wednesday, October 16.

How selfish!! Then, this woman has the nerve to add another child ( by a different man) to this nonsense.

Yes, which is great! …But does she really mean that her ex-husbands get minimal time to spend with their kids? Of course I don’t know the whole story, but it seems pretty unfair. Dad often value being close to their children as much as moms do.

Not sure why I got thumbs down. I wasn’t saying that I agree with her. I was just thinking “Geez. This chick is amped!” Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones because she’s never come across as someone so blunt. I think every child should have the benefit of both parents, whenever possible.

At first reading her co-parenting comment I was shocked. Then I thought neither of the fathers have committed crimes, you never hear of bad behavior from them, so if they wanted some arrangement that was every other weekend I’m sure they would get it. They obviously haven’t gone to the courts to do so.

Sounds to me she took offense to the questions. Doesnt mean the fathers are not involved or see their dads. Parents who have their kids every other weekend dont have 50/50 they have visitation. Maybe thats what they have.

She lives in the UK right now, much closer to Mia’s dad and Joe’s dad so I’m sure they see them often. When Kate lived in NY, Mia’s dad flew there once a month to see her so I’m sure all parties are happy with the arrangement.
