I recently filmed a pilot based on the Israeli series Mother’s Day. It’s about a working mom who’s married and trying to juggle everything while living in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It’s really funny.
As mom to 9-year-old Roman, what do you think about playing a working mother?
When I read the pilot script it made me laugh out loud. What made me laugh was how recognizable the plight of the working mom was— trying to get your 5-year-old’s teeth brushed at the same time the dishwasher is breaking down, getting the kids to school when you have a big work deadline. How seemingly impossible it is to do it all, yet how we as moms still try to do everything.
