Days of our Lives star Kristian Alfonso is keeping things steamy in Salem as the beloved character Hope Williams Brady. The longtime soap star, 50, is teaming up with some of her cast mates in the new book, Days of our Lives Better Living: Cast Secrets for a Healthier Balanced Life. The book that Doctor Oz calls, “… not only helpful, but entertaining…” is filled with cast secrets on how they achieve balance while inspiring readers to do the same.

Kristian opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her three boys – GinoJack, and her stepson Spartan – whom all “really enjoy music.” She goes on to talk about their upcoming holiday plans and her jewelry line Hope Faith Miracles

CBS: You’ve partnered with several of your Days of Our Lives cast members to contribute to Days of Our Lives: Better Living. Can you tell us a little about the book?

KA: “Better Living was a fun way and great opportunity for us to share with our audience what we do off the set and what other interests we are passionate about.”

CBS: How do you balance your career and family life? Is it a struggle for you? What’s your best advice to others trying the juggle it all?

KA: “Balancing career and family is a struggle for everyone, myself included. It’s truly difficult to make sure you give everything 100 percent, but family is always in the forefront. Always try to remember to take one thing at a time, accomplish it, and move on. That’s the same advice I give my kids with their homework.”

CBS: Tell us about your three sons. What are they into?

KA: “Jack is into WWII and wants to be a historian. Gino is studying mechanical engineering and his big passion is race car driving — he wants to be a Formula 1 driver. Spartan is an incredibly talented classical pianist and is studying music. Actually, all of my boys really enjoy music.”

CBS: What are your plans for the upcoming holidays?

KA: “Any time spent with my family is special because we’re all so busy. So to have all my boys come together and my whole family in once place is so special. It’s what we all work so hard for.”

CBS: Any new projects you’re working on?

KA: “I have my jewelry lines which are something I work so hard on and absolutely love doing. I have the Hope Faith Miracles line and the Believe line. Both can be found at www.hopefaithmiracles.com.”
