Jessica Simpson says she’ll be marrying Eric Johnson this year. According to E! News – in a new advertisement for Weight Watchers, she says, “The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells, which is exciting…I think it’s about time. Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”
She continues, “I’m just trying to feel good in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. I can’t wait to be able to feel just comfortable in my skin and know that I’m back to the person I’ve been before. I know this time I’m going to be so much stronger and so much more empowered, because I really earned it and I really got here, and took the steps to get here.”
In her recent interview with USA Today she says she was “constantly hungry” and had a “big appetite” during her first pregnancy.
“With Maxwell, I vegged out and laid around. I knew I didn’t have to watch what I was eating for the first time in my life. I kind of let loose, and I gained a lot,” she recalls.
With Ace she gained “a good amount” of baby weight. She worked out with a personal trainer three times a week and went for walks with Johnson.
Maxwell, 1 1/2, and Ace, 6 months, also have helped keep her exercising.
“With both kids I’m running up and down my stairs a million times. Kids can keep your metabolism going.”
Referring to gossip stories about her she shares, “People are going to talk about this no matter what. I might as well choose to live a healthy lifestyle. It does get old having people harping on how much you weigh or your body after pregnancy. I need to feel comfortable in my own skin. People are going to pick me apart no matter what I do. I’m always going to have critics out there who will make a story out of something.”
