Simon Cowell Takes Eric For Checkup

Simon Cowell carries baby Eric off in New York - Part 2

The X Factor judge Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman stepped out with their newborn son Eric in New York City on Thursday (February 20). The first-time dad, 54, toted his 6-day-old baby boy in the car seat as they left the doctor’s office on the Upper East Side in Manhattan.

The music mogul was seen in a white tee and jeans, while his socialite girlfriend, 36, rocked skinnies and a pale blue sweater.

The couple welcomed their son on February 14, and shared the first photos of the baby boy via social media.

“Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old,” the American Idol star captioned on February 16. “I never knew how much love and pride I would feel.”

He added: “The last three days have been incredible.”

The boy was named after Cowell’s late father, who died at the age of 81 in 1999 of a heart attack.

I cringe every time I see this couple because this is a HORRIBLE example of car seat safety.

Guess I’m the only one who looks at photos of a baby and doesn’t start wondering whether the parents have followed all mandated safety protocols.
