Matthew McConaughey: “My Family Is Obviously Important To Me”

Winners poses at the 2014 Academy Awards with their Oscar **USA, Australia, New Zealand ONLY**

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves arrived at the Academy Awards looking stunning on the red carpet. The Dallas Buyers Club actor wore a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo while Camila had on a Gabriela Cadena gown. After accepting his Best Actor award – Matthew gushed to reporters backstage on his win.

According to Access Hollywood he said, “I’ve got so much in my life to be thankful for and there’s still so much more to do. There’s so much to be thankful for and I find the more that I can be thankful for the things that I do have, the more I nurture those things, the better they grow.”

The dad to Levi, 5, Vida, 3, and Livingston, 14 months, added, “My family is very obviously important to me as anybody’s family is. My kids are at home, they’re watching Pappy and we told them, ‘What is tonight about?’ They said, ‘Pappy is up for an award with four other men that they’re deeming excellent work in what I do.”

I’m not a big Matthew fan but I saw the Dallas Buyers Club and he was fantastic in it.

I like both his suit and his wife’s dress. He’s been doing a lot of great work the past few years, I’m glad he won. I was still rooting for Jesus Bale though :P I also would of been fine with Leo DiCatchamodel winning it this year too.
